We just need to quickly look at what are red skinny jeans, their history then where they are in the style of today.

Skinny jeans are, as the name implies designed to make you feel thin, maybe even slimmer than is actually the case.  Because of this some people call them slim fit pants.  They differ to drainpipe jeans in that they taper at the leg bottom rather than just go down straight which means that they are much less baggy.  In fact there is often a zip at the bottom to make it easier to actually put them on over their feet.

People also use a few other names for them which include skinnies, cigarette pants, skinny pants, pencil pants, stovepipes as well as a few others.  All the names emphasise how tight the fit is.

This jeans style originated as long ago as the 1950s and one of the first to put them on in public and make a large fashion statement was Elvis Presley.  In fact they were probably a main factor in giving rock and roll the bad boy image that still is there to a certain extent.

For lots of years after that they were always very closely related to music in some way.  The stars from country music wore them as did most of the famous bands including the Beatles.  They were the dress of the teddy boys who were seen as the baddies and were completely different to the flower power dress of the goodies.

The same applies to what you wear with them.  It might be an idea to wear a baggier top to counteract the effect out somewhat.  Tucking them into long boots looks good and this has the effect of making the wearer look taller than you really are.  If you are already tall and skinny, the world is your oyster.  You will look good in anything with your red skinny jeans.
